Four pupils have received awards in the 2026 Oxford German Olympiad, a competition which showcases German language learning across the UK. The pupils are: Miles C. (Winner – 3rds); Pranith N. (Runner-up – 3rds); Louis Q. (Highly commended – 3rds); Nicolas P. (Commended – L6th).

The theme of this year’s competition was “Immer unterwegs – Mobilität und Reiselust”, which translates as “Always on the move – mobility and wanderlust”. The competition tasks included creating and writing about a potential future method of transport, telling a story about a visit to the moon, and creating a travel agent’s advertisement presenting two real train journeys in Germany, Austria or Switzerland.

Well done to all involved!
