Our Young Enterprise team, InterWoven, is a social enterprise that combines creativity with purpose. Through the design and sale of their sustainable range of funky socks, Socktopus, Flamboyant Flamingoes and Eggstemly Comfy, they are raising awareness of mental health among young people in fun and engaging way.
All profits are reinvested to run mental health awareness campaigns and provide meaningful wellbeing resources for students.
To ensure their work would have genuine impact, the team worked closely with our School Counsellor, Pam Llewellyn. Through thoughtful discussions, they developed a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by young people and explored practical ways to support stress management and promote positive wellbeing. Together, they carefully curated a range of resources designed to offer real and lasting benefit that they could purchase to support the work of the School Counsellor.

I am extremely grateful that you have chosen to raise the profile of mental health as it is important to shine the light on how we all can improve our mental wellbeing. Any step taken that demystifies the stigma around mental health is a positive and helpful one. I love your idea of the funky socks being about one small thing that we might do to make ourselves feel better by wearing them. Thank you so much for your endeavours.鈥�
The team have now proudly presented their first batch of resources such as fidget spinners and cubes, journals and a Zen sand garden. A second batch of products are already being planned.
This initiative is a brilliant example of students using enterprise skills to make a real and positive difference to the lives of others. We wish them continued success on their enterprise journey.
